My Camera: Fuji X-M1

I have been getting a lot of questions recently about my camera.

I always say that Rome does most of the work when it comes to taking photos. The city is stunning and has this incredible light like no other.

However, I do love my camera, and if you have been following the blog for any amount of time, you may notice that the style of photography changed about a year and a half ago.

That is when I upgraded to a Fuji.

It was, of course Sara who recommended that brand. Sara is a photographer and made the switch herself before convincing me that it really was worth it.

I used to use a Nikon, but have not regretted the switch one bit.

I went with a Fuji X-M1, and probably should have gone for the Fujifilm X-T1.

The tradeoff with the XM-1 is that there is no view finder, which I still miss a bit.

However, the body is so light that I carry it everywhere. That means more photos that I ever would have had with the Nikon.

My Fuji X-M1 has a beautiful cognac leather finish, and I bought a brown leather case to go with it.

The MegaGear “Ever Ready” Protective Light Brown Leather Camera Case  is still incredibly slim, so I can slip my camera into a regular sized purse and head out for the day.

People often think it is a vintage camera at first, and I have even spotted other people taking a photo of me taking a photo.

Beauty and power? Perfect.
