Krishna 13 is not the only Indian restaurant in Rome, but it is one of the best.
It is also one of the fanciest. From the napkins, to the stemware and the inlaid tables – nothing has been left to chance.
Even the menus are a little bit cheeky – labeling naan as “the bridesmaids” – always on the side.
Located in the heart of Esquilino, Krishna 13 is a happening place.
As soon as you sit down, you will be served papadums with sauce.
Peruse the list of wine or order an Indian beer while you wait for the main course.
The curries are rich and flavorful.
We opted for chicken, but there is a large selection of vegetarian options and lamb dishes.
“Do you always take photos of chicken?” the waiter asked, after he put down my tandoori chicken.
Ok, dude. Very funny.
But the food is no joke.
