Favorite thing about December in Italy so far? Clementines.
They are EVERYWHERE. In every store, at every fruit stand and even growing on trees lining the streets of Rome.
My main man at the Vittorio Emanuele market has these babies on sale for 0.80 Euro a kilo. I’ve been eating them like candy.
Sorry they haven’t invented smell-o-vision for teh internets yet. You’ll have to trust me on this one.
I agree with you they are delicious and I also eat them like sweets, much better for us.
Mmmm. Clementines. I buy them here in NY by the crate, but by then they are battered and bruised and there is no sweet stem and leaf – that is obviously a “fresh-picked” feature you are getting in Rome. Even without smell-o-vision, I get it.
mmm those look so much prettier than the cuties i bought
