I needed to go to the supermarket on Saturday.
The supermarket is right next to Piazza Testaccio, and as I rounded the corner to buy household necessities, I remembered that there was something else next to Piazza Testaccio as well.
Mission: Diverted.
I ambled over to Fairytale “just to look,” I told myself.
Fairytale is very likely my favorite boutique in all of Rome.
They have an amazing selection of wearable but unique pieces.
I beelined for the dress rack, because all I want in this 100 degree heat are floaty clothes that barely touch me.
Dresses, skirts, shoes, purses, Fairytale has it all.
Can you hear it?
Can you hear that bucket bag calling my name??
“Natalie….”
If you go in the next few weeks, you will be able to catch the saldi – the summer sales that run through the end of July.
I managed to find two dresses and a top – all of which are now my new favorite things.
“Where are you???” Jimmy texted when I didn’t return home promptly from my supermarket run.
“Leaving the store now,” I replied.
Which, if you think about it, was technically true.
Fairytale Shop
Via Mastro Giorgio 18
Rome, Italy (Testaccio)
Open: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 10 am – 1 pm and 4 pm to 7:30 pm. Wednesday and Saturday, open continuously from 10 am to 7:30 pm. Closed Sundays.
I’d walked past this shop countless times without ever bothering to look inside. I assumed it was out of my price range. After reading your post I went in yesterday and discovered that yes, it was out of my price range, but some of the things in the sale were just about affordable, so I bought a dress.
Despite knowing Testaccio pretty well, Fairytale was a place I’d completely ignored. Thanks for drawing it to my attention!
I am also a saldi shopper here! This time it was two dresses and a top for 100 total, which is not too bad! But not every day shopping either.
