Italy is currently celebrating the 150th anniversary of unification. Part of the omaggio (homage/tribute) included asking 24 well-known Italian designers to re-conceptualize the Italian flag.
The free exhibit, Omaggio al Tricolore is currently running at the Complesso del Vittoriano. I took this photo of the flag flying on the steps of Piazza Venezia.
Inside, it was fairly easy to tell which designer worked on which flag. Can anyone spot the Missoni?
Even though the luxury flags were flying inside, there was something more impressive about the real thing on a rainy day.
How cool! I love the iconic Missoni print on the flag 🙂

I’ve been reading your blog, and I love it. I studied abroad in Rome for a year when I was at RISD. Keep it up. Go to parties at the American Academy
Thanks so much! I will have to figure out where the American Academy is 😉
What a cool exhibit! I love following your blog and decided to give you a Stylish Blogger Award. Have a great Thanksgiving!
