Me Too

we are against war and tourist menu

I avoid restaurants in Rome that advertise some kind of “Pizza + Water + Coffee = 12 Euro!”  I’d advise you to do the same… and to keep a look out for this sign that is always hanging in Trastevere.

Which restaurant is it? I arrive in Rome in August with my family, and would love to take them there. Have you eaten at La Villetta on Viale Aventino yet?

      Hi Matt!

This is a picture of Aristo Campo. I haven’t eaten at the one in Trastevere, but I have been to the location in Campo de’ Fiori.

I haven’t been to La Villetta but I will need to add it to the list!

        Terrific, thank you.

La Villetta is a marvelous restaurant. It can be a bit pricey, but the food is unbelievable, especially the antipasto platter and the Carbonara, my favorite pasta dish ever. The restaurant is owned by Francesco Totti, the soccer player.

I arrive in Rome on August 18th, and will be there until mid-December, when I will return to California for Christmas, but I will be back for the spring, and, hopefully, summer. It would be a delight to meet you, as I have so enjoyed your blog and your wittily written accounts of life in Rome.
