I’m Natalie and I have been living in Rome since 2010.  I started this blog that same year as a resource for what to see, do and eat in the Eternal City.  I also regularly travel and offer a platform for showcasing life beyond Rome as well.

Before moving to Rome, I graduated from UCLA with a degree in writing and worked as an editor. I have been freelance writing for more than 10 years, contributing to Italy Magazine, Live Like an Italian, Expedia UK, and more.  I do accept freelance gigs, and you are welcome to get in touch via email to  A press kit is available by request.

Some of my most recent writing samples include:

14 Best Places to Eat in Rome (for Thrillist)
Sometimes you just need an intestine sandwich to start the day right (for Roads & Kingdoms)
Modern meals at Madrid’s best old world markets (for Elsewhere)
Great coffee in Rome (for Sprudge)
