A Favorite Roman Corner

I walk too quickly.

With one earbud in, and one out, I dip on and off the sidewalk to pass and dodge… but also to listen for approaching cars as I hop in and out of the road while trying to get around throngs of people in the center of Rome. (Because everyone knows that crossing the street in Rome takes a little luck and a lot of faith).

I walk too quickly because I am always in a hurry.

I walk too quickly and I forget to look up.

But when I remember, I have to smile because Rome really is *that* beautiful and you never know what you will find down the next street.

Maybe feet?

One of my favorite Roman corners.

Hi, I like to read your blog but I cannot enlarge the page of your blog and the writing is too piccolo ! How come ? Thank you for making us know about Rome.

Hi Joanne! Thanks for letting me know and sorry you are having trouble! I will see if I can make the text bit darker and easier to read.

To zoom in, on most browsers, you can hit the Control Key and the plus sign (Ctrl+ together). Control and – will zoom out.

You can also look on the top menu of the browser and there you should see ‘View.’ Click there and find the Zoom In option.

      Hope that helps!

I really love this…reads like a poem. Just like you, I walk too quickly, navigating through the madness and startling beauty of Manhattan.

Thanks so much, Nadia! I will have to get NYC tips from you :) It is a city that sometimes overwhelms, but has so much to offer if you seek it out.
